Accountant - Full Charge Bookkeeper

Petroleum Distributor seeks experienced, detail-oriented Accountant/Full-Charge Bookkeeper. This is a hands-on position that also requires supervision of junior accounting and office personnel. Candidate must be able to act as liaison and organizer for executive staff as well as sales, warehouse and driving personnel. A professional demeanor and team work are essential for this position. Candidates that have worked in a small businesses accounting environment and has an extensive professional work history that requires a high degree of accounting function variability is preferred. Primary Job Responsibilities -- Full Cycle Accounting Accounts Receivable Management Accounts Payable Management Inventory Management - Physical Audits Tax Management - payroll, excise, sales, personal and real property Payroll Management Fixed Assets -- Capitalization and Depreciation Schedules Reconcile bank and Balance Sheet accounts -- Monthly, quarterly Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with supporting filing systems Qualifications Accounting degree preferred combined with a strong accounting background, demonstrating a progression of increasing job responsibilities. Proficiency in utilizing various accounting software programs. Supervision - Responsible for oversight of accounting and office staff.
