Experienced Student Counsellor for International Undergraduate Admissions (with focus on USA)

Project Description: We are seeking an experienced student counsellor who can guide our daughter through the entire process of applying to universities abroad, mainly the USA and other countries as an option, including the UK. This is not a one-off consultation; we are looking for someone who will work closely with us, step by step and hands-on, until the admission and visa process is complete. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive guidance on international education systems and university options (including US universities). - Assist with shortlisting universities based on academic profile, career goals, and personal preferences. - Guide the activities, tasks, exams, and the timing that needs to be done to make the profile and experiences stand out at the best / IVY league universities. - Guide / provide information on best practices to get admissions to the best institutions. - Guide regarding scholarship and merit-based programs and how to achieve and get them. - Guide through various fields/areas of study options and work with the student to get the best targeted areas of education. - Guide through application preparation, including essays, recommendations, documentation, and timelines. - Offer visa counselling and ensure all requirements are fulfilled. - Keep us updated on the latest admission policies, regulations, and changes relevant to international students. - Be available for regular consultations and updates, working closely with both the student and parents. Requirements: - 5-6+ years of proven experience in student counselling for international student admissions. - In-depth knowledge of international student visa policies and admission procedures. - Established network and active collaborations with top international universities and colleges, especially in the US, ensuring students have access to the best opportunities. - Demonstrated success in guiding students end-to-end, from shortlisting universities to securing visas. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both students and parents. - Preference for candidates who have worked with multiple students over several years and can provide references. Engagement Type: - This is a long-term, hands-on engagement until the admission and visa process is complete. - We would value the possibility of in-person meetings.
