Computer and application support website for new startup company - Not sure what this project is usually worth. Initial budget isn't huge, but if cost is high, can make a lump sum payment on delivery followed by additional payments until paid off.
I have done the design for the site in Photoshop, but the site will need to be sliced and coded and the backend generated (if it's a lot cheaper, I can slice the site and generate web pages from within photoshop). I would like the code to be validated, XML compliant CSS that works on all popular browsers & screen resolutions without using tables (and the code in a style sheet) - as well as the ability to easily edit the content anytime I need to do so (without the CSS design being ruined when adding more content). A robust and very good backend is important. It might have to cope with a lot of traffic in a short time frame.
The website needs to have a facility for users to create, edit and request deletion based on email address as a username and there needs to be a facility to self reset passwords based on a secret question or to have a forgotten password emailed to their registered email address.
Packages and prices need to be editable so that users can buy different support packages (1 call, 3 calls, 5 calls, 10 calls, 15 calls, 20 calls, 50 calls etc... etc...).
Each time a user logs on and initiates a support request, the call credit for that session needs to be taken away from their pre-paid call credit total.
There should also be an allowance for someone to log on and initiate a once off or guest support session that they can pay for via credit card or bank account transfer.
Another consideration is for people who are employed by companies that have support contracts with us to have their own login page (like [login to view URL] ) so that page can be branded or masked from the customers domain name (like [login to view URL] will be redirected and masked to [login to view URL] ). It might be best to configure one generic page that I can edit and add graphics and text to without destroying the layout.
The payment gateway will be eway and there is a developer section for downloading example and test code that I can edit once I get a memberid from them. For now we’ll just run with the test user and credit card number as a test. The developer page is [login to view URL]
Once the user has logged on, they need to be directed to their account page. This will show them how many call credits they have. Here, they should have the option to start a support call, buy more credits, edit their account etc... etc... and logout.
Once the support call request has been initiated, and payment has been verified or the call credit removed from their total, a LogMeIn session needs to be kicked off. They have a list of api’s that you might need to check out at [login to view URL] and the docco is found at [login to view URL]
As you can tell I’m not one for the back-end side of things so if you require any additional information, please let me know. I hope you get the idea of what I need.
