I am an Access programmer/developer. I have a client who has a finance department that has an Access 2010 - Capital Expenditure Tracking Database (CE Database). They have Exchange Server.
I have been asked to build an approval routing system that does the following:
A user enters a capital expenditure in a form in the CE Database. The user clicks on a button and an email with an attachment of the expenditure is sent to the first person in the approval routing system. If it is approved (perhaps a checkbox on the email?) then it is sent to the next person in the approval system. If it is not approved then an email is sent back to the user and it is recorded in the database. After expenditure has moved up all the way through the approval system then an email needs to be sent back to the user that it has been approved and then recorded back into the database.
I write in Access VBA using DAO and have manipulated Outlook on a couple of projects, but I don't want to do this project. I have built the CE Database and need help building the Outlook Routing component.
