I need help setting up my local server as an internet website
I have set up a server in my home using an old laptop.
I have installed ubuntu 15.10 on the laptop to use as a server
I have config the ubuntu server with FTP
I have a domain aA Record pointing to my home IP [login to view URL]
Now when I go to the URL I reach my router log in...
I think i need port forwarding configured on the router so that when someone clicks on the link they go to a website-(which i still need to build on the server)
My router is a COMTREND brand router...
I also need this configured from the instructions I am trying to follow:
(format: "name" - TCP/UDP - start port - end port - 192.168.x.x (replace with that of your server))
"VNC" - TCP - 5800 - 5900 - 192.168.x.x
"FTP" - TCP/UDP - 21 - 21 - 192.168.x.x
"HTTP" - TCP - 80 - 80 - 192.168.x.x
ALL work will be done with Teamviewer-I will enter all passwords on my end
Please write me if you are interested My router is a COMTREND brand router...
