Build a Website

Create HTML / CSS templates based on mockups. While this will later be incorporated into a dynamic web application you should simply use fake information / numbers as placeholders. We will replace the fake placeholders with the dynamic content. You should leverage Twitter's Bootstrap CSS framework as much as possible. All templates must be well formed HTML5 and must validate cleanly using the W3C HTML5 markup validation service. Templates must be hierarchical- there must be a base template (including a common header, footer, and possible navigation components) that is extended by all other pages (for your deliverable the base template can simply be duplicated on each page, but when we make the content dynamic we would extend it through a templating engine). jQuery should be used for any complex Javascript functionality. Requirements: 5 total web pages: Dashboard page template fully populated with placeholder data. Includes line chart. Mid level page template (Agents, Inventory, and Deposits pages utilizing template fully populated with placeholder data. Includes line chart and data table.) Agent page template fully populated with placeholder data. Includes line chart and four tabbed data tables. Base template extended by all pages. Leverage bootstrap CSS scaffolding / components as much as possible. Full responsiveness is not required. 5 basic charts (with some duplication) through a data visualization library (line and bar charts). We will provide complete JSON source data for visualization in the correct format for the visualization library you choose. All data tables (grids) will leverage a Javascript library that will provide sorting, searching, and pagination functionality client-side. The table library utilized must also support server-side AJAX sorting, searching, and pagination. We will provide complete JSON source data in the correct format for the table library you choose. Modal popup framework integration (such as lightbox) with ability to easily launch iframe popups from any page (preferably using just an href class). Include a base template for a modal iframe popup. Should include javascript functions to easily close the popup and should at least match base template typescript, feel, etc. For now we will create the modal iframe content- you could just provide a single example page using the base popup template. We will provide all JSON data, verbage, and graphics resources required. We will be using django for the web application. Where possible, you should design the site to work with the basic django include and extends template tags. At a bare minimum all pages should extend the base template. Working with the django framework specifically is not required. You may either use simple static files or you may use a framework of your choice (for basic server-side includes) and we will make the necessary conversion to django. The final deliverable should be a zip file containing the fully functional site completely bundled with all markup, CSS, JSON, images, javascript libraries. If you used a framework to generate the site we would also like all source documents. The site must be well formed, valid HTML5 (should pass the W3C HTML5 validator without any significant issues).
