Displaying Realtime Data with Ajax

I run a site that has real time data about all users and auctions on the most popular penny auction site. Currently my site only displays state statically (pages are built server side) I need to build infrastructure and components for asynchronously querying for data from the client side and displaying the data dynamically as auctions and bids are updated in real time. Project Milestones: 1) Build restful services to query for updated data (ajax) using django 2) Display the data in a friendly manner 3) Build an engine for asynchronous updates of the page
