I have been developing applications in both Access and Excel for 20 years with extensive use of VBA. I have developed several applications for Freelance clients, please see Feedback. I am UK based, a native English speaker, available on Skype and currently on UTC+1. I am available now and would love to work with you now and in the future. Excel’s multi-user interface is not very robust, personally I would migrate to Access and my quote is based on this. Staying in Excel would be cheaper. Hello, I can create this project for you both excel and web based: Variant 1. We will have database stored in MsSQL, and user will work in excel. Excel application will authorize with server and download/update data in Database. Variant 2. Web based solution (ASP.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL) As I can see from project description, this will not take more than 10 days to develop and test application. It should not take more than a week's time to generate the solution. There would be only MS Access and multiple webpages available on the local intranet to see the reports and enter new data, modify existing data. We are interested in developing this application. 1) Based on your requirements, we would like to suggest you that you should go for a Web application which can also run on LAN if you want your staff to login inside office premises only. And if you want them to access the application from anywhere they want, then we can host this web application on the server. 2) There would be different user management panel wherein we can add different user types and have different administrative authority levels & access rights (If Needed). Each user will have their own login id and password to login into the system. The Manager can view all the registered Users& can Update/Delete any Users’ record if required. 3) At a time, there can be multiple logins into the system. Each user can access his own user panel with their basic info and the Quotes page. 4) The Quotation page would have different columns (which are there in existing Excel). Entry would be done in similar pattern like Excel so that users can easily adapt with the web software. Users can also import their existing excel file into the system to avoid doing entries again. In the similar way, Users can also export the records into Excel files(if needed). 5) Manager can see the list of users their Quotation pages. Managers can take out the reports based on suggested search criteria and column sorting. The reports would be in tabular format and can be exported in excel. They can add/edit the reports. Hello, It seems to me you are facing a classical problem: several people logging in at same time doing some work. What you really need here is a web based software. I certainly can write one for you. And I am proposing a customized wordpress website. Reason: - the technology is free, you do not need to pay any license - can be installed on a website or on your local server, hence it can be accessed from anywhere - if you already have a website, chances are it can run PHP, which means you don't need to pay additional monthly fee - if you do not own one, the monthly fee is cheaper compared to other technology - look and feel can be customized - it is a common language, so it is easy for you to hire someone to modify (yes, I am not afraid to be replaced because I believe in my work quality :) ) I hope you do not mind with my timeline.
