Have VB6 desktop application which needs to run on everything from 2000 to Windows 7. Everything's been working fine until Windows 7 where I've encountered multiple display problems.
For example, screens which previously randomly displayed 40 small images in all locations on the screen are now restricted to the left side of the screen. In other cases, command buttons which appeared near the bottom of the screen now disappear off the bottom of the screen.
I'm pretty sure it relates to display options which can be set but don't have time or expertise to figure out how to make the program screen resolution independent.
Update: My computer has been down for a week so I haven't been able to reply. Sorry for the delay.
1. Do not want users to be required to change their screen resolution.
2. Need code which will calculate width/height of existing screen (?twips, pixels, etc.) and allow me to randomly place picture boxes throughout the screen. I require minimum display of 1024 X 768 but my laptop defaults 1366 X 768--hence limitations to left side of screen. I think this is probably a very simple task but so far have received complex replies or replies with no information from which to choose.
