Harvest is an existing .net Windows application. Running on a laptop, it captures and decodes multiple data streams being played into a ship simulator and stores these in a large database locally. Your task will be to construct a dashboard application, using built-in Windows Forms controls and components, so that the contents of the database and the health of the external connections can be monitored in real time.
The successful bidder will be an experienced .net developer with a track record of constructing intuitive and visually-attractive user interfaces, preferably for applications that include large databases. You will have plenty of positive feedback on vWorker, be skilled in .net programming and be very familiar with the built-in components and controls of Visual Basic 2010. It is not necessary for English to be your first language.
I am a subject matter expert on the ship simulator itself and will be the user of the new dashboard application. The accompanying User Requirements document was written by me and I will be available via chat and email to support the successful vWorker throughout the lifecycle of the project.
## Deliverables
Please download the accompanying Zip file and review its contents.
> This project is a larger sized project and can be difficult for you to estimate acccurately. If you are the winning bidder, I want you to finish it. To ensure you are fairly compensated on this project, I am following [login to view URL] Best Practices and using the "Hybrid Payment Model". To bid:
> * Read about the "hybrid payment model" at [this link][1].
> * Describe to me, exactly what portion of the entire project you'll do for the trial portion only.
> * Place your pay-for-deliverables bid for doing *just this trial* (and not the entire project). Remember, your bid must be less than $200.00 if you are from an emerging economy and less than $700.00 if you are from a mature one.
> * In your comment, tell me how much per hour you will charge me for the remainder of the project, if you are selected. Note: I may choose to opt-out of this second stage if I do not like your performance in the trial. So be sure to give me your best work at all times.

Please be advised that I have uploaded a new version of this project's existing source code. It is available on the Bid Request home page. If you have not yet had a detailed conversation with me (more than 3 messages or an IM chat), then you are not currently under consideration for this work. I plan to narrow the field to three (maximum four) preferred bidders at 1200UT/GMT on Wed 6 Jul. You have until then to ask any questions you may have. When replying, remember to suggest a part of the UI that you wish to build by way of a pay-for-deliverables trial and what your price will be for doing so. Thanks for your interest in this project.
