· Trace the cabling from the main switch to the phones (approx.10 phones). The phone lines are located at different parts of the plant, and it’s about 25 minute walk to the main server. (Special note1: FE should carry required tools to identify the cable )
· Label the port number and extension on both ends (patch panel and port) ( Special note2: FE should be carrying labels with him )
· Check the voltage for the ports to which phones lines are connected and notify Harman* with the results ( Special note3: FE should be carrying a Voltage meter/ MultiMeter )
· Validate if the voice ports are functioning by connecting a different phone to the port
· List down the ports that are not functioning and share the report with Harman
· Perform testing of the phone lines post Harman troubleshooting
