The aim is to have a tool for reverse engineering the actual raw hex streams from an known interface OP-COM that is chatting with bosch motronic 2.8 ECU .
The desired programing is VBA .
The proposed method is first sniffing serial port for RT and TX streams RS232 interface ttl levels , while OP-com session is [login to view URL] to decode messages instant values can be used to compare hex data with decimal values of the parameters and in this way to get the frame structure.
THe protocol used is ALDL , is proprietary GM OPEL/Vauxhall.
The software to be developed should have ability to :
- communicate via COM ports send and receive with non standard baud rate: 8192
- to export decoded data in csv,and xml file format
- to handle the windows of process [login to view URL] for reading the displayed [login to view URL] - few actions should be sent to op-com app to start/change communication mode: identification of ECU or instant reading values.
After each pair of frames req/response identified, the software should resend via serial the frame and compare with original OP-com.
All hardware available and any log can be requested anytime.
