Changes to existing software

We are looking for an individual or company to take over from our existing coder for repair management software. Our existing coder has other commitments and will no longer be able to support us. We have the core of the system built but are looking for someone who can make changes as and when we need them. The program was built in VB.net (2010 & 2012) but you must also excel in using asp.net and MySQL database skills. The software is used for booking in of mobile phone and other electronic goods for repair and currently consists of the following features; Brief overview of how the system works; When we book in a repair the system creates a ticket for that repair which is given a unique ticket number – we collect all information required which is specific to the item type selected. When all the information from the customer has been collected the system will then automatically print 3 items – A receipt for the customer, a declaration that is printed on A4 for the customer to sign and our company to retain and also a label to attach to the device for repair. During the repair we can change the status of the ticket e.g. On technicians bench, awaiting parts etc. When the item has been repaired we can select to send the customer a SMS to inform them the item is ready for collection. When the ticket is closed we can collect the money and a receipt is printed for the customer. The system also allows for different stores and can allow for sending repairs from one store to another. The system has the following features available; SMS Customer Lookup by ticket number, item serial number, contact telephone number UK Postcode lookup Label Printing EOD Reporting Receipt Printing Ticket Filtering by Status Staff Clock in / Clock out Cash reports that a specific to stores Total Tickets booked in specific stores Admin User Privileges What we need from you is to be able to add a EPOS function to our system that will allow us to sell stock, the system will be store specific and will allow us to run reports on stock sold, add new stock and most other functions normal epos software has. We also need a function installed in order to purchase stock from our customers. These are the two major changes to be made straight away. The budget for the major changes will be $1000 (£600) This will be an on-going contract with major & minor changes to be made – You must be ready to start straight away and initially dedicate 100% of your time to us. I will send the source file to the successful person and you must demonstrate the changes before any deposit / milestone payment is made. The full payment will be release upon delivery of the completed software. Before you are selected you must send us an agreement confirming the code will belong to us and you will not duplicate or distribute the code to anyone else. All other changes will be priced according to the length of time it will take to complete.
