In my thirty years, I have experienced more trials than most. My perspective on the world is defined by those experiences. I was diagnosed as bipolar at fourteen, and had a rough time dealing with myself and the outside world. My stubbornness has never let me give up or quit. I have a degree in Computer Science, and have studied the physical and life sciences extensively. My fascinations lie more in philosophy, astronomy, and creative writing than most computer nerds. Here is a short sample of my work.
Piece of Pi by Michael Dolan
A cunning, at times mischievous, mind should not go to waste. When logic defies reason, a journey into the mind ensues. Should this yield a final product the mind must rest. However, if the task at hand is out of the scope of reality or too far from fruition, one faces the greatest challenge of all. As the mind journeys off into hybrid states of logic and absurdity, the ground wire starts to spiral and loosen. Madness and logic become so sheerly distinct, that neither has room to budge. The body must sleep, or madness and illusion will steal the scene. Surely the fruits of labor are powerful and the prize is important, but you are more precious than pi.
