Custom Search and Login

I am using Joomla and SocialEngine alongside each other on my site.

1. I would like to make some modifications to the SocialEngine Search function so that results from the Joomla database are also included.

2. I would like to modify the appearance and position of the SocialEngine login, and be able to embed this on the Joomla pages as well.
