CAD Application Written in Flash (ready to begin)

This project is for a web-based drawing tool written in Flash (or Flex) + ActionScript. This application will allow users to draw 2-dimensional objects on a canvas area, save them to the hosted web application using XML, and restore the objects of saved diagrams to the canvas area. I'm looking for the most talented candidates with strong communication skills who demonstrate creativity and an ability to work with vector based graphics. The first project will be used to test your skills. If you do a good job, you will be invited to continue work on future projects. As an experiment, I might reward this project to two individuals who work in parallel, resulting in two identical projects. The developer that performs best will likely be invited to take over the long term development of this project. When placing a bid, please include your portfolio. Past experience/education working with vector graphics (CAD) is a big plus. About me and my company. I'm a seasoned developer with about 10 years of experience developing web based applications. You will work with me to develop a new website that has great potential. I'll be doing the Ruby on Rails development for the website and you will do the Flash. Looking to develop a long term business relationship with an awesome ActionScript developer that I can trust. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
