Hello,
This is a definite project for a good application developer.
I will be selecting a programmer by July 9 so please bid quickly.
The only available server side programming languages for the project are ASP and Cold Fusion - ColdFusion is preferred.
Basically, I have 2 tables, let's call them people and events. The tables have the same basic format and column types/names.
What I need is a map of the United States where each state is clickable. Each state will then be further clickable down into more regions. When the user gets down a couple of levels, the events and people need to show up on the map as different icons. (Kind of like the location tags on google maps are different colors one red one green.) When the users click on one of the icons, a couple of parameters for that one event or person will need to be passed to a Cold Fusion page and I'll take it over from there.
I can provide a lat/longitude table - or if you have your own, even better.
If this can be done with flash or flex - great! I have a flash remoting component that can deliver database content. But it's not a must. Integrating with a yahoo or google maps api is perfectly acceptable.
Basically something fast and robust is what I'm looking for here. And No PHP.
Dan
