[login to view URL] Website Brief - A global forum for fishkeepers to connect, share and learn. We ask all members to contribute to this wonderful hobby and inspire others to embrace life underwater. We want to create a forum that is easy to use and navigate, clean, clear and simple. The options to be able to add blogs/news as well as newsletters and featured articles or posts would also be a plus but not essential. We would consider all Forum Software, vBulletin 5 Connect seems to currently stand out and with the recommendation of the winning bidder we would purchase all licences. We would like a simple and clean homepage allowing users to quickly find what they are looking for as well as being able to sign up. Bbpresss although an option we feel would not fit, and hard to control all the spam. The site will be [login to view URL] ( currently has a WP site which would be removed ) The project is to complete the install, build, customisation and hosting for us. We would provide access to hosting company and domain name. We would also require a Logo to be created that is simple and only using the text with a small image. Competition - [login to view URL] [login to view URL] does not have a clean or easy to use interface and is often hard to navigate. We would love to create something similar making it easier to use and having a focus on inspiring people to get into the hobby. Hello! I've been working with vbulletin for over a decade, and can definitely build your new site. You can see some of my work in my portfolio at [login to view URL] I would recommend using the latest vBulletin, although I do have lots of experience with other platforms. Xenforo & vBulletin 4 are definitely easier to customize as far as functionality. vBulletin 5 does not have a lot of aftermarket modifications available. So if you are looking to do a lot of custom things in the future I would not recommend vBulletin 5. For your homepage you could use the vb5 article system: [login to view URL] (the URL could be adjusted to load on the root domain) By a shop do you mean a place that members can sell their stuff? Panjo does have a plugin for vBulletin 5. I use it on one of my sites. Here's a rundown of what I could do: - Install & configure forum/blog software to work on your server - Tweak settings to suit your needs - Adjust style & colors - Customize homepage layout/templates to suit your needs - Change graphics and logo to your liking
