I'm just looking for a basic database back-end.I need it to handle at max 10 tables, each with at max 50 fields per table. I prefer a stand-alone database, but for 'time-frame' purposes, a SQL2005 or MS-Access based db is acceptable - Acceptable, but a secondary choice. Database must be named "m58db" if stand-alone. or the control class/dll, etc must be named "m58db" I need it to be able to be controlled inside a VB .net 2005 app. dotnet framework v2.0, as exampled below. it doesn't matter what language it's written, I have VS2005 Enterprise. A vb .net 2005 compatible class or DLL would be preferred, ready to run. what I'm looking for is a simple way to get the information from each field to be used 'directly' as strings in the vb app. Something like: 'Read string ExampleString = [login to view URL] (Table1Field1) 'To Update, or insert [login to view URL] (Table1Field1) = ExampleString 'To Search for the string [login to view URL] (Table1Field1) = RecordNoInteger maybe with sorting. The fields will only be strings. Max 80chars./fld, but having the ability to have integers, doubles, and booleans would be nice. The above example is only as an example -- to show how I need to get the information. Exact syntax is up to you, but as simple as above. My company designs custom hardware & software for various types of businesses (mainly hardware).I have a friend that asked me to write a program for his small warehouse company. I knew I didn't have the time, but I agreed anyway. I promised him the program for Jan 15th, [login to view URL] you can see, I'm behind.I really don't have much time for any programming anymore (just had my 2nd child 'son' Dec 23rd) So I'm looking for a reliable, quick, and skilled programmer. I have many projects, most just as easy if not easier. I do need this in a extreme hurry. (sameday to 48-hours from Jan 19th 2007) I assumed that some of you would already have one written that would just have to be modified a little.
