PDF Annotation Requirements

1. Viewing and Navigation: Open pdf document for viewing allowing navigation between pages, zooming and panning.

2. Using predefined text and comments: From a grid view, drag and drop a row (containing text, comments) onto the pdf page. When doing do, record in a database table (SQL Server 2008) the comment ID, the pdf page number, the document ID, as well as the coordinates of the exact drop point

3. Show an excerpt of comment/annotation on pdf page.

4. When opening pdf, load comments on page and show in their respective location per items above

5. Allow user to edit dragged comment column and save in pdf annotations, but not the source grid

6. Compare documents capability: when a document is open click a button to compare. Clicking the button will ask user for document (which could be on server or on user local machine) and then ask in whether to compare all pages or specific page. If specific page allow user to select page (visually using a page preview or thumbnail). Highlight or identify differences between documents

7. Tracking comments/annotations made by user. Some annotations are markings and may not be part of a source.

8. Allow drawing and marking pages: Allow user to select from colors and thickness of pens, eraser, highlighter, textboxes (with transparency option)

9. Application can be web or desktop

10. Adding stamps and graphics
