We require a Cisco and Asterisk Guru to figure out why our Fax calls are being dropped from the Cisco box with a "488 Not Acceptable Media" code. We use an AS5400HPX: Cisco IOS Software, 5400 Software (C5400-IK9SU2-M), Version 12.4(7a), RELEASE SO FTWARE (fc3) Technical Support: [login to view URL] Copyright (c) 1986-2006 by Cisco Systems, Inc. Compiled Tue 25-Apr-06 02:37 by ssearch ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(2r)XB, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) BOOTLDR: 5400 Software (C5400-BOOT-M), Version 12.2(2)XB, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEA SE SOFTWARE (fc2) P-1-ADL-AS5400-A uptime is 1 hour, 7 minutes System returned to ROM by reload at 12:08:14 AWST Wed Jul 12 2006 System restarted at 12:09:01 AWST Wed Jul 12 2006 System image file is "flash:[login to view URL]" We are also using Asterisk 1.2.9.1 as well as OpenSER for the SIP Proxy. We will supply the requested configs to the sucessful bidder. We are using T.38 with G711 pass-through and the symptoms are that the AS5400 hears an incoming call (via SIP) and detects it as a FAX call. It then tries to re-negotiate the codec as G711 and that is when the call seems to drop. We will only provide configs and assist in necessaty debugging. No access to the devices will be granted. Regards, Stephen Lombard
