So, we are developing a software in Adobe AIR and for some tasks we use native extensions. AIR allows us to include native libs in Actionscript 3 and this works very well. The software that we are developing will need a CAS and for several reasons we would like to use Sympy ([login to view URL]) which in turn needs Python.
To create a Sympy ANE (AIR Native Extension, something like JNI), which we can embed in our software, we need Python compiled together with Sympy into a single library file.
This are the types of libraries for each system we need:
- Android: .jar
- Linux: .a or .so
- Mac OS X: .framework
- iOS: static .a
- Windows: .dll
The resulting library should work alone and shouldn't depend on any external libraries.
We think that it is sufficient when the lib exposes one public method which we can invoke to execute a python script. Like if we would type something
in pythons console. The methods return would be the consoles output.
Hi, Need to discuss your project requirements in details for better understanding. For this Skype chat could be a good idea. Kindly provide your Skype id and we will move further.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
