We have a number of VNC clients in the field. They can be accessed by standard VNC clients (URL and password). We need a piece of software which is connecting to these clients, downloading a screenshot and storing this locally.
There is no test environment ready for this. All testing needs to be done at project developper. The code needs to be delivered and will be installed and tested on our own servers.
Language shall be PHP (preferred). Others have to be advised in the quotation/offer here at freelancer.com.
Deliverables:
- sourcecode
- manual about installation
- manual about usage
Milestones: 50% with delivery of code and 50% afterwards.
To clairify:
- all our clients in the field run a VNC-server
- locally on our PCs, we rund a client, such as TightVNC Viewer or similar
- with those clients, you can access the VNC-servers in the field, i.e.
- remote host: abcdefg.dyndns.org:6900
- password: 123456
- in the clients you can see a picture then (i.e. what is seen on the screen on the remote VNC-server)
What we need is a piece of software that accesses those VNC-servers, take a screenshot of what is seen and saves this screenshot on the local pc.
Explanation: We do this now manually (i.e. once an hour). This shall be done automatically (i.e. once per minute), e.g. called by a crontab.
