Cab Optimization

Project Title: Optimizing application for our car rental business. Design an optimizing application which takes in input as booking (for next 1-2 days) and returns what is the best way to optimize/pack these bookings in car rental. Complexity variables: 1) Multiple City operations: Multiple vendors in each City (Vendor location is known and plottable on google map) 2) Multiple Car Type: A consumer will choose a specific car type 3) Multiple Packages: A consumer will choose a specific package. Example [Local city wise (4hr package, 8 hr package, airport drop package) or outstation package) Features: (a) Tag and track * - Ability to tag a booking to a vehicle * - Ability to tracks multiple vehicle along with booking * - Ability to handle exceptions (If cab is not able to make it next booking, booking gets cancelled, consumer wishes to extend the trip) * - Untag a cab (b) Pack (optimize) the cab * - Inputs: Booking itineraries [Trip type, Cab, Pickup time Approx duration, pickup location, drop location (may not be known)], Vendor Inventory available * - Considerations for business logic: Approx time taken to go from point A to point B (Traffic considerations, holidays, peak traffic time] * - Output - Packable booking, standalone bookings (Taggable). Can unpack a packed booking (c) Sandwich the booking * - Inputs: Booking itineraries [Trip type, Cab, Pickup time Approx duration, pickup location, drop location (may not be known)], Existing bookings, Vendor Inventory available * - Output: Packable booking, standalone bookings (Taggable)
