Add Employees to Business Module - PHP

We are developing a module for SocialEngine. We want to duplicate the "add friend" button on user profiles and make this available for businesses. Afterwards, we will rename "friends" to "employees". Thus, employers will be able to add all their employees to a business and choose what type of employee they are. Assistant, administrator, IT, freelancer, etc. There will be a 2-way approval process. The business owner & manager will have access to approve employees & then the employee will also have access to approve a business to show they work for them. All of this functionality already exists for the "Add Friend" feature. If we can just duplicate the tables in the database and duplicate the functions for this - we will be happy. We are a team of programmers who are strong in PHP, MySQL, and we know SocialEngine very well. We need an extra hand to help with this.
