We? are looking for? an experienced? developer to review/migrate our in-house Paradox database application to a common database platform.? ? We would like to reduce the database features down? to? the most basic components and? have someone properly normalize the database? schema to allow for more flexibilty in the future. ?
At the most basic level, our current Paradox database contains less than 15 tables,? 3 librarys, 10 reports and? 4 main forms.? ? 1.? Client Manager? ? 2.? Territory Selection Form? (City State County Zip)? ? 3.? Auto Query? Process? (to match property data to client? profiles)? 4.? Report Manager.? ? The entire database is around 2 GB.
We use this system to manage less than 100 client records and we run daily and weekly queries and reports.? ? ? We deliver these reports via fax or mail.? ? We also deliver data files via FTP or E-mail.
We have? simplified most data import and export processes? by hard coding buttons? to allow any user to quickly run each query or report.? ? We would like? to automate these operations on a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly or ad-hoc) and are open to using a 3rd party application for report writing and delivery automation.
