Classic ASP - Employee Scheduling System

This project will be developed inside of a website that contains classic ASP.? You may use any programming language you wish, as long as it will function from within an active server page. I need to be able to (as the admin) schedule employees to mobile events that we do.? We will be scheduling by the event, then by the date.? We will need to be able to add positions on the fly to the event.? (For instance: Position: Cash Register, Position: Sales Floor, etc.? The event name is called "The big Event" and its 5 days long) We may at one time have more than one event going on on the same same.? I will need the system to tell me if i am trying to schedule someone that is already scheduled for another event that same day, so that i dont schedule the same person to be in 2 different places at the same time (although that would be a really cool trick if they could) =) The system will also NOT show the employee being available for that day if they have an APPROVED request off.? The system will also show if a specific employee has volunteered to work that day as well.? What i was thinking was like a drop down list of only the employees available? that day with their name highlighted of they requested that day and maybe a * next their name if they are already scheduled for another event that same day. On the employee side of it, they will be able to view all days available (that havent been scheduled to someone else.? they will be able to request those days (request sent to database for admin review), they will also be able to request days off (request sent to admin to approve or decline). I would like this to be a fast loading page.? The current schedule system takes too long to load, and has many flaws. Im looking for a coder that can dedicate his time to this project, meaning that once he starts it, he can finish it in a day or 2. This project utilizes a ms access 2000 database, and we cannot upgrade it or use anything else, unless it will work seamlessly.
