Apple Aperture Titling Workflow

Our company does event photography. We post images in three formats, color no title, color with title, and black and white. Currently, we use Photoshop Batch processing to add titles and convert to black and white. We are going to start using Apple Aperture for our full digital workflow. We want to create a program to automate the titling process within Aperture using Apple Script. Original images will be uploaded to the Color No Title folder for the event. We will create a . PSD title for each event in Photoshop. There will be separate title files created for horizontal and vertical oriented photos. There is an option in Aperture to export with a Watermark that is a .PSD file. After the title files are created, the titling interface will allow us to do the following: 1. Create a new title workflow for a specific event. 2. Specify the location of the original images and select the folders for the images with titles and black and white images. 3. Create new images with titles by Exporting from Aperture. Horizontal and Vertical images will need to be exported separately with the proper orientation title file. 4. Create Black and White images from With Title photos and save in the Black and White folder. 5. Repeat the same process for multiple other events that will be specified in the workflow application. We would like to setup all of the events and then allow the application to do the titling for each event without any human interaction. [][1] ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
