Campus Announcement System(repost)(repost)

We need a simple campus announcement system. Implemented in JSP/Icefaces with a mySQL back end this system will have 4 screens (admin, entry screen, small form to show the last few announcements in an iframe, and a screen with all current announcements on it.) There are a couple of calls to an OpenSSO web service to determine username. ## Deliverables Technology: Java Icefaces mySQL Database Design This system will be written against Java (v1.6) deployed to a glassfish server (V2) The project for this system must be done in Netbeans 6.7.1 All project source code, images, scripts, etc. will be turned over at the end of the project The project that we get must be compiled to a WAR file on our systems before the project is considered complete This system needs to include: Persistence Tier - Will use a mySQL database (version 5.1) - Announcement table Will have (a minimum of) header, body, date entered, by whom it was created, date to start showing, date to stop showing, active/inactive indicator - No logic is allowed in the persistence tier - Administrators table will have (a minimum of) username, date created, and last access - Variables table that will have variable name and value columns Administration system (JSP/Icefaces) - Users can add/edit announcements - Users have the option to expire announcements immediately - Uses ckeditor to enter/edit announcements - Users can add other users - Authenticate against an OpenSSO server to allow access to this page (must gather data from OpenSSO to determine who the user is and cross reference with a user table inside the mySQL database) - Ability to add/edit/delete any value in the variables table - When anything is added to this page (Announcement/Variable/Administrator) then this page will update immediately to reflect the changes - All inputs will be validated for size adjustments, etc. - Coder can add Variables on this page or on another page - Coder can add Administrators on this page or on another page - I will provide the CSS for this page - I will provide an HTML example of this page Administration System: add/edit note page (JSP/Icefaces) - All inputs will be validated for size adjustments, etc. - Upon saving the main administrator page will refresh with the new data - Can be called for an add or an edit - I will provide the CSS for this page - I will provide an HTML example of this page A JSP/Icefaces page that will show all active announcements - Written using Icefaces - List of all active announcements - I will provide the CSS for this page - I will provide an HTML example of this page - Only show announcements that haven’t expired and are in the current date range - Must render visually the same on IE6+, Firefox 2+, Safari 1.3.9+ A JSP/Icefaces page that will be called from an IFrame - Written using Icefaces - That will show the last (n) announcement headers (configured by a variable table) - The last announcement link will be a link to the Full Announcement page called "All announcements" - This box will be of approx. size W: 370pxH: 85px - Link to admin page for administrators (must gather data from OpenSSO to determine who the user is and cross reference with a user table inside the mySQL database) - Each link will link to the details of that announcement in the Full announcement page - Only show announcements that haven’t expired and are in the current date range - Must render visually the same on IE6+, Firefox 2+, Safari 1.3.9+ - I will provide the CSS for this page - I will provide an HTML example of this page
