Most trial software packages are designed to cease functioning after a period of time commencing at the installation date.
Manually altering the system clock on the PC to the date of the original installation before running such trial programs works but is too tiresome. I therefore desire a program which will do the following ;-
Before executing any .exe file the system shall look for a flag, such as a text file called [login to view URL] which the user places in the same directory as the .exe file which is to be executed. If there is no flag file, the system shall load and execute the program in the usual way.
However, where a flag file is found, the program shall save the system clock. Read the date when the flag file was created and push that time and date to the system clock. The program shall then be executed and as soon as execution has begun the original clock time shall be popped back, restoring the date and time to it's original.
This does mean a fraction of a second will be lost each time, but all a user needs to do in order to keep the trial running for ever is to put a text file into the directory where the trial program resides. I am perfectly willing though to look at other alternatives.
