Desktop Calendar

I am building my first website. For subscribing to my newsletter, I want to give away a free monthly download of the current (and next 2) month's calendars. Here is the web page where I am promoting it: [login to view URL] Each month I want to be able to insert a new background .jpg for the current calendar (800 x 500 pixel created in Photoshop 7) into the program, and upload a new calendar every month to my supporting site at : [login to view URL] for subscribers to download. Perhaps .exe format would be best? Please advise. User download should install to desktop & have an icon (I will create a small floral graphic). The user must be able to (#1) with the calendar maximized to 800 x 500 pixels, type 3 lines of text into each date square (font: Verdana, Bold Italic, 14 pt, #990000), (#2) drag the minimized (200 x 125 pixel) calendars around the desktop, (#3) min/max/close each calendar, minimum = 200 x 125 px, maximum = 800 x 500 px, (#4) not absolutely necessary but it would be nice to be able to tile calendars on the desktop, (#5) must be able to click on 2 hyperlinks at the bottom of calendar - one going to homepage and one to FAQ page, (#6) right-click/print. I will provide the blank 800 x 500 px calendar .jpg which will be the background. I am unsure of project price, please suggest appropriate pricing. If not cost-prohibitive, may consider additional cost to build a Mac version also. All suggestions to improve my idea, or improve user experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows a) ready for buyer to insert 800 x 500 pixel calendar graphic as background, to be uploaded to website for downloading by website users. b) must be easy for buyer to edit every month by replacing the 800 x 500 pixel calendar graphic as background, then uploaded to website for downloading by website users. Buyer will need instructions on how to replace the background graphic and "resave" it each month. c)Functionality is described under "Description." The calendars should be as simple as possible for website user to download and use, but still allow items (1) through (6) under Description. Buyer is not a programmer and is open to suggestions on improving calendar design. d) Goal is for website user to find calendars easy to use and useful enough to download a new one every month e)For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP in all recent versions of Internet Explorer (5.0+), Netscape, Firefox. If not cost-prohibitive, may consider additional cost to build for Mac also.
