Adjust Excel macros written for PC to Excel for Mac

Adjustment of Excel macros from PC to Mac format. A thermodynamic database program FREED was developed for use as an Excel add-in. It contains VBA macros. The program was compiled in Excel version 2002. At that time, the program worked well on a Mac that had Office 2000 installed. However, recent users notified me that they saw an error message appear when attempting to start the program. Here is one message they received: When we clicked the “FREED Home?? icon, the following error message occurred: “Run time error ‘308’. Could not set the RowSource property. Invalid property value??. After clicking on ‘details,’ the next message was: “The ‘fm20’ file that contains this topic cannot be found.?? Buyer seeks a person knowledgeable about writing VBA code for Excel who can identify the difficulty causing this error message, and any other error messages that may appear, and correct the VBA code in two FREED files so that the program FREED will run in both the PC and Mac environment. The code should operate on any PC or Mac running Excel versions up to 2004, but do not need to operate on the very latest Excel (Office for Vista or Office for Mac versions for 2007). The completion deadline is October 9, 2007. Bidders must respond specifically to this project and describe their VBA experience. General-purpose form replies will be rejected. Attached files consist of two FREED files ([login to view URL] and [login to view URL]), and a User’s Guide for FREED ([login to view URL]). Bidder must examine these files (especially [login to view URL]) very carefully before making a bid. Be sure you can operate FREED on a PC and can view the VBA code. In essence, I want FREED to work on a Mac without error messages. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
