This is a project to add an import feature to a custom
search engine for a website that allows visitors to search
for a distributor for specialized janitorial products.
Here's what I need done:
- Create a new backend admin function to Add a new
Distributor and Process the uploaded data file for the
Distributors list of products and put it into the correct
tables
Provide an input form the following information
about the Distributor:
- Distributor Name
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip
- Country
- Phone
- Fax
- Web Address
- Filename to be uploaded with tab delimited text
file to be imported into the DistProducts table
- The new Distributor information will be added to the
Distributors table
- All of the products in the import file will be processed
and the lookup record is added to the DistProducts table
(the DistProducts table contains the Distributor ID and the
Product ID)
- Look up Product Name in the Product Table, and get
the Product ID
- Use the new Distributor ID created above
- Insert a new record into the DistProducts table
with the Product ID and Distributor ID above
- repeat for each Product record in the import file
- NOTE there might be more here (it hasn't been
completely thought out)
- Create an error report for all of the Products
that were not found in the Product table

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
