MINIMUM EXPERTISE: *** You MUST KNOW MOODLE and be aware of how to update, troubleshoot and customize a Moodle installation. Deep database experience with MySQL and Postgre SQL required. *** You must speak and write fluent English and be willing to be in high contact with me over work details for the duration of the project. BACKGROUND: Our programmer had to go in the hospital and has left a Moodle upgrade to 1.8.3 in the middle, with no stable Moodle running, and with a class opening up at the first of February that has yet to be fully developed. We are in need of someone to finish this job. YOU MUST KNOW MOODLE. Please don't bother bidding unless you do. Also fee is negotiable, but TIME IS NOT. Work must start immediately and finish within four to six days OR LESS. HISTORY: We want to start with a clean install of Moodle 1.8.3 then restore a couple of necessary courses from backup and give us time to develop the one that opens Feb. 1st. In time, all courses would ideally be restored + our custom theme, a version of Moodle's standard orange-white theme. Q/A is important on the restored courses, but not as important as our students having an online classroom to go to ASAP. Database (mySql, postgre) skill required for correct restore. We have notes from the previous admins and history of support emails about this. We have a choice of three hosts to put the Moodle installation at. You would need to make the determination which is best for our needs. Given our current situation, ideal candidate will work as part of a team who work on this job to get it completed in record time. Close communication and frequent updates via Skype necessary, possible phone, 9am - 8pm Pacific Time (San Francisco). Potential longterm relationship possible with successful completion of this job. MAKE A BID - salary nego. Will start vetting as soon as bids come in. Please contact ASAP. Time is of the essence. Write back with what you feel next step/s are.
