Auto-proxy detection for Delphi application

Backgroud: I require some delphi code that will detect the proxy server required to connect to a web server from my own Delphi application. Detecting proxies must work using statically configured, auto-proxy configuration scripts (PAC files), and all other methods used by Internet Explorer. I believe there is a library in Windows called WinINET and/or WinHTTP that can be queried to do this (these are the libraries used by Microsoft applications such as Internet Explorer). I Require: Delphi code that will run in Delphi 7 that can figure out which proxy I need to use to connect to a given URL. This may involve the [login to view URL] file that comes with Delphi if my preliminary research is correct. It must work for all types of proxy configurations that Internet Explorer may use which is why I suggest using this library. If you have another way to achieve this I am open to suggestions. I expect this will be a simple task for someone who is familiar with WinINET. The code I require would be a single function, that you pass a URL and your local HOST name into, and it returns the appropriate proxy(s) to connect with as well as their ports. This code should be placed in a simple Delphi form application to enable me to test it. UPDATE: I believe this project to be worth less than $100 but I have posted this amount because I need it done very quickly. The first person to post a demo project that does what I require will be accepted. Let me be clear, the demo project must detect the proxy being used by Internet Exploere in the following ways: 1. Detect any statically configured proxies; and/or 2. Detect the autoproxy config URL (PAC file) AND query this PAC file to determine which proxy(s) are suitable for a given URL. Simply returning the URL of the PAC file is not sufficient. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Delphi 7 running on a PC with Internet Explorer 4+ installed.
