Data Collection Project: Vehicle fees + sales tax rates in USA

I need data collected from State DMV web sites for all 50 states plus the District of Colombia (DC). Data is to only come from state-run DMV web sites (no impostor sites like [login to view URL] ). No other sources are acceptable. Data should be compiled into Excel files or TAB where appropriate (with URLs of examples) Data to be collected for each state: 1. State vehicle registration fee ([login to view URL]) 2. Sales tax rate for vehicle sales by county ([login to view URL]) a. Download tax rate and name of county for every county in every state. CSV: state,county,tax_rate 3. URL of Smog Test Query Tool where available ([login to view URL]) 4. URL for “change of vehicle ownership?? checklist ([login to view URL]) - Please include the source URL of where all of the data came from. - Not all states will have some of this information. All states should have #1, #2 and #4. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Excel or TAB. I don't care how the data is collected, just that it is in a consistent format.
