I need a webservice built in c# .net 3.5 that will help with compression of js.
I like to use yui compressor for this since it doesnt hurt the file very often.
here is what i want
1-Service a developer can call and pass to it a js file url or the js data itself
2-Service response of the js file that has been run through the yui compressor or a file they can download.
the response type should be set in the request so the user can tell the service if it wants a stream or a url to download the file
next i want a webpage in html that communicates with the service the same as an external user above. it will let the user paste in some js or give a url to a js file. the system will either give them back the js in a text box or as a downloadable file.
Ideally you can handle most of this sever side with some dlls
you will need to figure out how to wrap the functions fro yui into the application on the server.
All of the above functions shoudl work with css as well. the yui compressor allows this to work correctly so make sure in the service you can get the type of file in the request or extension. and in the html ui make sure to ask the user if it is css or js they pasted in the text box.
A good example of the system is
but ours will work with c# and webservices
