C++ Work (phase 1)

This is phase 1 of some work which has to do with maintain existing code and make it more manageable and easy to maintain. In this phase I like to move a big class into a separate dll. The work is to: 1 move a big class into a separate dll 2 provide a nice header file to be included back into the original projects 3 replace the existing CStdString (ATL template string) to const char * 4 replace BSTR to const char * 4 move repetitive code into separate function. I will give details to the winning coder. 5 Add extra code to check for validity of imput parameters. 6 make all imput parameters const 7 make all output parameter const 8 remove the hungarian on parameters 9 add two extra parameters at the end of each function (ErrID and ErrDescription) and return the Error number and description if an error occure. and so on...I expect you to come with some suggestion too. The idea is to make it very generic, well writen, commented and implementation to be into a separate dll. Need to look as a production API. the class has: 4000 lines of code 65 function all function have the same functionality(call store procedures on sql server) The work is suitable for versatile coder, with COM experience who write neat and well documented code. There is no trill in this work a bit repetitive but you have to know C++ I think will take 2-3 days full time I have more projects for same type of work. Vio ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform C++
