A function in C+ to decompress a file, and place the result in a buffer. Compress type can be any file compression type with good ratio, but using a standard compression ( RAR, ZIP ) format will have first priority - else we have to also write a compression function. Buffer to place the result shall be created dynamicaly with dynamic size. Buffer size "BufferSize" returned on success. If an "embedded" function like this already exists as standard, this solution will have priority. No folders, only one file to decompress. Function could look like this, and must be a stand-alone function, no DLL´s: long DecompressFile( char * Buffer, const String FileName) { long BufferSize; //-------- Decompress file ---- //-------- If no errors ------- return BufferSize; //--------- If errors --------- return 0; }
