Some time back we switched from a 1994 vintage Borland C++ compiler to Microsoft Visual C++ 6. We now need to make a change to one of our data entry programs, but the compiler flags the gotoxy(0.0); statement, that homes the cursor, as an error. I understand that this is an old DOS sub-routine that Microsoft does not support. We are looking for replacement code to set the cursor to position(0,0) in the function below. Dale Misegadis // size defaults to 25. void clr_screen(int size) { gotoxy(0,0); for(int cntrl = size; cntrl; cntrl--) cout << '\n'; gotoxy(0,0); }
