We require an application that will allow one to Backup a DVD to CDR in a single step. The optional outputs can be VCD, SVCD, and AVI Conversion. There are many of these products currently available. We are simply looking to have our own made. This application will be included in a commercial package so third party controllers are not an option. The application will work in this order: 1. Reads the DVD and decodes to the hard drive. 2. Converts the video and audio to MPEG format (MPEG format will be define by the user) 3. The application will then define space available on the CDR and give the user options on "how many parts to break the MPEG into" and "how many parts they wish to allocate for each CDR (if the time value is too large to hold on 1 CDR). An example can be downloaded here: [login to view URL] Application Requirements: Compatible with all DVD Players. Compatible with all CD Writers. Create a demo version that can be downloaded (shareware). Demo will unlock with key after product is purchased. Open source GNU can only be used for application if license is obtained for commercial use from the authors.
