Here is a very brief description of our project -- to build the back end of a compiler: 1. Read in IR from the GCC transluation unit dump file 2. Translate IR into 3-address code. 3. Perform data-flow analysis & control flow-analysis 4. Perform code optimization (transformations: common ubexpression elimination, copy propgation, dead code eliminiation, loop invariant code motion) 5. Translate optimized 3-address code back into IR form 6. Perform code generation (labeling & code generating function). Produce x86 assembly code. ## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Design must be able to run under Linux GCC environment. 5) Please include a descriptive README file describing the functionality of the project and how we can actually execute it as a demonstration 6) Complete design must be received by us by Wednesday December 11th, 2002 at 9:00 AM (California PACIFIC US standard time)
