ASP.NET VISIT TRACKER MODULE

ASP.NET PAGE HIT TRACKER. Straight forward project for someone who has developed a web traffic analysis program. Design a httpmodule to be used to track the pages a user visits throughout an asp.net site. All pages will be asp.net 2.0. The salient details of each request will be stored in a container in the session object. When the session is completed the module will calculate the various metrics for the session and store these in a database. This algorithm will determine if a new path was taken through the site and maintain a list of known paths. It will also detect new pages automatically and new combinations of querystrings in dynamic pages. Standard web analytic information must be recorded, such as referrer, browser type and version, IP address, geographic location, Average dwell time on each page, entry point, exit point, cookies on/off, unique user, unique hosts, visits, visit duration, unique visit duration, anonymous users or logged on users. 1. Design a class that enables all the details of a session to be recorded. 2. Class will develop a dictionary of know paths and register a counter for each path 3. Class will be able to segment dynamic pages based on the query string and whether the page is a post back. 4. At the end of each session the class will persist the information to a sql 2005 database. You will supply An Interface, A class implementation, tables and stored procedures, Unit tests for the main methods.
