I used to use similar like tools in a corportate setting (ie Malwarebytes). On my Mac now I find Webroot SecureWhere is the is the best option. I believe by utilizing the Automator feature which is completely underutilized, it's possible to pull data and clean up, etc. I have a colleague with an app that already uses Automator underneath with 10,000 + downloads.
