An iPhone and Android user enters a predefined geographic area eg within 50m of a shop and they receive a predefined message from the store. Upon receiving this notification, users can access more detailed information from the store (information will be drawn from the website - see next paragraph). We do not want the user to have to turn the app on and off - it is on all the time but only notifies when the user is in the predefined geographic area. The app will be managed through a secure website that shop owners can enter information into and there will also be a administration area where we can administer shop owners and user data. The iPhone/iPad app will need to be approved by the Apple App Store and similarly for Android. More detailed specifications will be provided upon request.
