Hi, From your project description I understand that you will not only need a hard-disk but also a streaming server. What do you plan to use as the server? For example, are you planning to use an existing linux machine or do you want it to be more portable like raspberry pi. I can help develop the application on either. If you need the server on raspberry pi then I will need couple more days to complete the project so that I can provide you with an optimized solution (since pi has very less memory) If you have any questions, please let me know and I will try to answer them for you. Will there be a server(PC) available at the location? or only wireless devices? Are all videos for everyone(no groups/authentication needed)? If you need to provide videos to, say students of an institute, that can be done. You will still need a server or PC that will act as the main content holder. Since streaming needs bandwidth, you will need [30xbitrate of your videos] at any given time available on the network(wifi, wired whatever) otherwise buffering will occur.
