Overall Description to the Data Base
1) This is a live database and in full use
2) There is a front end Access DB linked to a backend Access data base.
3) 48 Tables on the backend
4) 185 different queries
5) 126 different forms
6) 29 different reports
7) 14 different macros
8) 14 different modules
As you can see by the above, this is not a simple data base and anyone that is not an advanced coder and understands Microsoft Access could quickly have a mess on their hands if they aren’t very sure what they are doing.
The good news is that we test extensively before going live because of the obvious problem it would cause if there were errors in the live data base.
Item 1: See the two screen shots [Air Dates Search - highlight selected [login to view URL] and Air Dates Search - Move the [login to view URL]] for the change on the “Air Dates” form. It is two points:
a) move three columns to the left so it is next to the “local date” column
b) when a person selects a row it needs to highlight so as to identify the row all the way across
Item 2: Append an “Invoice” field and a “Check Number” field to the “Airdate” table OR create a new table hold those two fields. If it is a separate table it would have to be set up as a relation to the “tblAirdate” table. It will more likely be best to append the table. NOTE: there will have to be way to auto-advance the Check number. This will be used in a later addition to this database.
Item 3: When on the Air Dates Search form query a station “KDOC” and then “alt-E” to edit a record. The “Edit Airdate” Form comes up. The two fields added to “Item 2” above will be put in this form, see [Air Dates Search - Move the [login to view URL]] for example. If the two fields end up being in a separate table then a relationship would have to be established between the new table and the “tblAirdate” table.
Thanks for taking the time to writea detailed scope. It makes it a lot easier to give a fair price on work. You referrenced some jpg files but I did not see them on the project. I hope you will consider my bid.
For the past 15 years I have worked with Excel/MS Access and 11 years with MS SQL Server 7.0 and 2005. I have been doing my contracting work with VWorker/Freelancer for the past 3 years; during that time I have completed 70 projects ranging from Excel/Access VBA to SQL Server database constructions. In my experiences over the past 3 years I know how daunting it is to try and describe what you are wanting along with sifting through numerous bids. As you can see from my reviews I strive to make sure my customers are happy with my services. I take a lot of pride in my work and stand behind anything I create. Please feel free to ask any questions I am always willing to share my experience.
Best of luck with your search.
Michael
