Hello Below is my understanding on the expected output 1) This is a single point cutting tool 2) Objective is to obtain the temperature distribution in tool and work piece 3) Heat transfer mode will be conduction, convection and radiation. 4) Do you want to consider the heat carried away by cheep…mass transfer method ? please specify... Below will be scope of work - FE model has to be generated for tool and work piece….Geometry has to be decided by you. As some time dimension of the tool / work piece can affect a lot on heat carried by work piece / tool during cutting process. - Thermal-mechanical tool load ( heat generated ) has been considered for simulation…here I consider heat generation rate for various feed rate will be available - Solve the problem in transient domain - Obtain the temperature distribution ( with respect to time) in tool and work piece and provide the results to you. I did similar work on simulation of cutting process and leaser welding process for obtaining the heat distribution and distortion of work piece during the process. I am keen on working on this problem and looking forward for getting this work Thanks
