Given cartesian coordinates
Point 1: X = 540.0, Y=-60.0, Z= 3000.0, Velocity = 275 m/s
Point 2: X = 320.0, Y = 10.0, Z = 2200.0, Velocity = 275 m/s
The 'truth data' from a fotran run reveals the following result for the first row:
x(m)_______ y(m)_______ z(m)_______ vx(m/s)_ vy(m/s)_ vz(m/s)_ lat(degs)_ lon(degs)_ alt_msl(feet) speed(m/s)___ heading(rads) pitch(rads)__ roll(rads)___
540000.00 -60000.00 3000.00 -262.05 83.38 -0.95 -0.53706 4.84533 9842.51953 275.00000 5.02044 -0.00347 -0.00000
Your job is to produce vx, vy, vz, lat, long, alt, heading, pitch and roll as shown in the truth data. I tried doing cartesian coordinate computation between the two points but came up short. i.e I'm unable to get the vx, vy and vz values. If you can produce c++ code showing your work thats great. (Matlab will also suffice)
I'm a mechanical engineer with a PhD degree. I'm good at coordinate transformations and I can certainly do what you need, but you are missing some input data. Please contact me for a short discussion. Thanks.
