Business Plan and Strategy

Hello, I am looking for someone to provide both a bit of advice (strategy) and then I need a business plan. My firm helps companies reduce utility charges by performing retroactive audits, validating monthly charges, optimizing rates and instituting controls automations. We have a very sophisticated software platform that performs these functions, while channeling necessary cases to analysts and consultants. The platform is also being expanded to include energy controls, controlling hvac and lighting. Therefore, we'll be a full service company. All this said, I am struggling with what industry segment to develop our business around. I also wonder whether we shouldn't be licensing our modules or platforms to companies with reach in other business segments or related services. That latter point might even involve spinning the software company off as it's own entity and maintaining the consulting operation separately to get the full value out of the two parts. All this said, I am looking for someone to help me sort this out and develop a real business plan that we can use to run the company as we move forward. Thank you for your response.
